Friday's preseason opener between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins is not only a battle of Florida, it will also be the beginning for two new NFL head coaches.
Greg Schiano takes over as the head coach of the Buccaneers after spending 11 seasons in college as the head coach of Rutgers. While Josh Freeman returns to quarterback Tampa Bay, the Bucs will have a new look on offense with first-round pick Doug Martin at running back and big free agent acquisition Vincent Jackson at wide receiver.
Joe Philbin will make his debut as the Dolphins' head coach and their first preseason game will be the next step in their three-headed quarterback battle. Incumbent starter Matt Moore is battling free agent acquisition David Garrard and first-round pick Ryan Tannehill for the starting job. Garrard and Tannehill won't be the only players making their Dolphins debut, as Chad Johnson will also play his first game for Miami.
